Music has been an integral part of Stacey’s life from the beginning, her mum loves to recall the story of how the only thing that would get her moving for the midwife was Tom Jones! One of Stacey’s earliest musical memories is seeing Michael Jackson in the Cardiff Arms Park when she was just 4 years old.

Professionally, Stacey has been DJing since 2007. She cut her teeth in well known Cardiff venues Buffalo and Clwb Ifor Bach, gaining residencies and guest spots across most of the clubs in town. Stacey continues to play out nationally on a weekly basis.

In 2012 Stacey met Kay Russant, and through a mutual love of party music and sequins, GRLTLK was born. GRLTLK still hold their residency on a Saturday night in Clwb and held an alternating Saturday night residency in iconic London venue The Borderline until it sadly closed in Summer of 2019.

GRLTLK have been billed as support for acts such as Noel Gallagher, Jess Glynne and Groove Armada in the last year alone and are no strangers to festivals with regular spots at SWN, Reading, Latitude Truck and Larmer Tree.

Some brands Stacey has DJed for under GRLTLK: Baby G, Skinnydip, House of Vans, Bafta Cymru and BBC introducing/horizons with mixes played on BBC Radio Wales.

GRLTLK have won the Cardiff Music Award for ‘Best DJs’ for the last two years (2018/2019), voted for by both the public and peers in the music industry.

Stacey has roots firmly in Penarth, spending most of her life here apart from a spell in Cardiff before moving back to start a family. When she’s not pressing play or on the school run, Stacey is also studying for an undergraduate degree with the Open University having just completed her first year in Business Management.
